Dog walking…

So Rick calls me on the phone yesterday while he was at work and says, be ready, I am picking you up in five minutes.  Much to my surprise he had taken my fun car out of winter storage to surprise me so I could take it for a little exercise.  It was a sunny day and I certainly needed the release.  He says, go burn some rubber or do whatever you need to do.  Now this is what he does all the time.  He’s always thinking of me and takes great care of my spirit.  I honestly don’t know how I would be on the emotional scale without him.

It made me think of this photo with me and my dog C.J., and it always puts a smile on my face so I thought I would share it with you today.  This is how I take my senior dog for a walk around the block!  We get so many smiles and finger pointing when we are out on the road, and when we are stopped at traffic lights, someone always sparks up a conversation with us.  She loves the car as much as I do.  The last time I had liver surgery, my RRSP fund got a big workout when I bought my “cuck fancer car”.   Now that my biological clock  is banging loud like a pair of base drums instead of quietly tick tocking away, I wonder what kind of retail therapy I can get into trouble with now?  I’ve got a big itch that needs some scratching, or should I say a big bucket list that needs some attention.
