This is how my breakfast started yesterday morning. I can’t wrap my head around how this non-nutritious drink can be beneficial but apparently it is required to help light up my insides for the CT scan to be effective. It would have been nice to just gulp this pretend peach yuck down but no, please drink one cup every 20 minutes for the next hour. I have had to do this on many occasions just thought I would share this one with you. Oh yeah, it gets worse. A few needle pokes in my arm to find at least one vein that will cooperate, and then here comes dessert. Can you say “esophageal paste”. Down the hatch! Gag.
Today the docs are checking for lesions/metastasis in my lungs, abdomen and pelvis. Results in a few weeks. This gown is so last season! I would like a pink or yellow one. Hospitals need happy colours! Who do I call for new uniforms at Save My Ass Inc.? I am not nervous about the results of this test. It is what it is. I am just hoping to be able to enjoy at least one summer without chemotherapy. Keeping my fingers, toes and eyes crossed for continued good news
